Hi there Everyone,
Here is this week’s events.
Let me mention again our contemplative conversation this Friday which we are holding in response to the fear of financial collapse.
“It’s not the economy, stupid” is a forum for processing the uncertainty we face individually and as a country. The first conversation in a series of four, these conversations explore our national economic and social cohesion from a spiritual perspective.
Now in it’s second year, Contemplative Conversations is a reflective forum responding to social/national issues. That the wisdom of transformation is the basis for peaceful change is borrowed from many contemplative traditions. Indeed, the truism that the ‘personal is political’ can be extended to the spiritual which can inform our national reconnaissance on where we are and what we can do.
I invite you to participate in this evening which will offer two short presentations on the system failures and Celtic wisdom followed by a meditation and conversation on how capitalism and contemplation interact and are influenced by each other.
I look forward to seeing you here.
With best wishes,
Christine

This series of meetings is about how we experience radical uncertainty.

About how by referring to a contemplative attitude we are enabled to remain strong, resourceful,
collective. This series of meetings is about witnessing how the great spiritual traditions overcome fear.
How apprehension can be counterbalanced through meditation.
How Love encourages community.
How conversation in contemplation creates vision.
Financial relations show that our collective vulnerability is what mysteriously binds us all.
How we come together and prepare for peace is a reflective practice.
All are welcome.
